Description.
Here is our Sazanami（漣）jacket, which means ""waves that stand in fine ripples"". This is a special one on many levels.
It is based on a corduroy fabric that was very popular in Japan in the 90s which we found in the archives. Instead of simply reproducing it, we decided to have fun with it and add some unique dyes to this fluffy yet sturdy fabric. This fabric are pigment-dyed in three botanical dyes:
Mud Dyed Brown
Natural Indigo Dyed Blue
Yamamomo (Bayberry) Dyed Green
Our experimentation with these natural dyes has been hugely successful in the last years, so we are happy to apply it to new fabrics.
To add to the premium flair, these are fully lined with made in Japan Ventile fabric which makes the jacket windproof and water resistant.
We use military grade Urea buttons and custom made mil-spec ribs.
Fit.
In terms of cut, this is a bomber jacket in a contemporary cut. Slightly box with dropped shoulders, inlays below the shoulders for additional mobility and a shawl collar. Two handwarmer pockets and one zipped inner pocket.
The Sazanami jacket combines our love for ancient dyes and contemporary post-heritage menswear.

Sazanami（漣）意即「細小起伏的波浪」，在布料上有著重多細節。
它以在90年代日本非常流行的燈芯絨布料為基礎，這是Tanuki在古著收藏庫中找到的一種布料，他們不僅僅是復刻，而是在這種蓬鬆卻堅固的布料上增添一些獨特的染料，讓它變得更有趣。
這種布料使用三種植物染料進行顏色染色：
天然泥染的棕色
天然靛藍染的藍色
天然山桃(楊梅)染的綠色
Tanuki在過去幾年中對這些天然染料的實驗非常成功，這次將其應用到新的布料上，為帶來更好的品質，這些夾克全面鋪襯了日本製造的Ventile專利布料，具有一定的防風和防水功能，並使用軍規級尿素扣和訂製的軍規螺紋布。
