The Gold Label jeans are crafted using hand-operated shuttle looms, a meticulous process that produces a unique texture and character in the denim. There is only a handful of skilled artisans who are still able to perform this craft. Each jeans can take more than one week to weave. This traditional method reflects Momotaro's dedication to creating outstanding denim fabrics for discerning customers seeking genuinely distinctive jeans.

Kojima, the birthplace of Momotaro Jeans, is celebrated for its rich denim heritage, attracting enthusiasts worldwide. The town's dedication to "monozukuri," or the art of making things, is evident in the meticulous craftsmanship of the Gold Label jeans. Each pair embodies this cultural commitment, offering wearers a piece of Japan's esteemed denim tradition.

Natural Indigo Dyeing
The yarns used in Gold Label jeans undergo a labor-intensive hand-dyeing process with natural indigo. Craftsman hand-dip bunches of yarn into natural indigo vats, repeatedly exposing them to air for several dozen times to achieve a rich blue hue that can only be achieved through natural indigo hand dyeing. The process takes several months to complete the whole batch of hand dye yarns.
   
The 0605-AI from Momotaro is made using the brand's original 13.5oz Gold Label fabric - sanforized for immediate wear. The fabric is soft right off the box. The denim is made entirely from Zimbabwe cotton, features a smooth yet hairy surface, and is finished with a sashiko patch that has a hand embroidery magical gourd on it, representing the tools peach boy used to catch and jail the evil creatures. It also grants you good luck and good life for the wearer. This serves as an homage to the peach in the original Momotaro folktale.
  
The "Natural Tapered" fit is a straight silhouette cut. It's high rise and has a roomy top block with a slight taper from the knee down.
