For quite some time, fans of Tanuki have been eagerly requesting a Kakishibu dyed denim. In response, Tanuki has crafted a kakishibu (persimmon) dyed jeans unlike any other natural dyed jeans released before. The persimmon-colored weft is notably more saturated, eschewing the muted tones of its predecessors. Through daily wear, exposure to sunlight, and air, this denim evolves in both warp and weft simultaneously. With a unique blend of Australian and Texas short staple cotton imbues this denim with a rugged, textured hand feel, combining the best features of Tanuki into a single pair of jeans.
The comfort of Tanuki’s creations stems from the fabric's extra low tension weave, making this mid-heavy fabric feel surprisingly light and breathable—ideal for hot summer days.

The Tanuki High Tapered fit offers a high-waist, relaxed tapered silhouette, providing ample room in the top block to accommodate stronger thighs. It tapers moderately from the thigh down to the hem, which is wide enough to pair well with both sneakers and boots.
